New York, NY - June 19, 2019 – Nielsen (NYSE: NLSN) and Block Communications, Inc. announced today that they have reached a multi-year renewal agreement for Nielsen Local TV measurement services across Block’s television stations and markets. This includes WDRB (Fox), WBKI (CW) and WMYO (My Network) in Louisville; WAND (NBC) in Champaign - Springfield - Decatur; and WOHL (ABC), WOHL DT2 (CBS), WLIO (NBC) and WLIO DT2 (Fox) in Lima.

Nielsen combines the scale of big data with in-market local panels to provide the industry with complete, unbiased coverage of the local marketplace including viewing in over-the-air homes. Nielsen remains the only true persons-level measurement service available to the marketplace.
With this new agreement, Block stations in Louisville will continue to utilize a comprehensive suite of Nielsen data to demonstrate value to advertisers that includes local consumer data through Nielsen Scarborough.
